Salary

Starting minimum RM 5,000. Plus shift allowances, performance bonuses. EPF retirement savings (11% employee contribution). Healthcare usually provided.

Career progression:

• Year 1-2: RM 5,000-6,000
• Team Lead/Senior: RM 6,000-8,000
• Supervisor/Manager: RM 8,000-12,000+

Visa Rules

Company sponsors Employment Pass. Processing 1-3 months from offer to arrival.

Renewable yearly. After 2 renewals, must return to Indonesia for rest period before reapplying. Exception: If salary reaches RM 5,000, restriction is lifted.

Strategy: Negotiate salary increases aggressively, target promotion within 2 years, build skills to transition to non-BPO roles.

Housing Budget

RM 5,000/month salary allows comfortable single living without car. With car, need RM 6,000-7,000.
